Chalkboard Paint Backsplash

Did you ever want to try something but didn’t know if it would work out but knew if it didn’t it would be easy to do over?
That’s what I decided to do with the chalkboard paint, I thought why not, I still have the beadboard wallpaper I can use over it if I don’t like it. So here it is…
005
Just fooling around with the chalk

004

Than I got a little fancy with the chalk! I’m not very good with it but I love the look of it!
007

I just threw this up there before I took pictures:)
003
I still have the other side of the kitchen to do but have to wait until Stush tapes it off for me. We also have to get trim for where it ends.

006

This is what it looked like after I had seasoned it.
002
I’m liken it, even my husband likes it too!

That looks so good! I was mentioning to my husband just this week that I wanted to use chalkboard paint or beadboard on the kitchen backsplash. Yours looks so good I am now being swayed to the dark ( chalkboard lol) side. I wonder how it would hold up when hubby splashes pasta sauce all over it?!

I know exactly what you mean by just seeing if it works out! It looks great and goes perfectly with your dark countertops. No more searching for a pen in the kitchen either, lol.

Oh cool! This is the first time I've seen this done. I think it looks great and fits in perfectly with your kitchen. The banner is very cute. I would probably be leaving all sorts of notes with arrows for my husband and son regarding cooking, coffee, groceries, etc. Very fun idea!

Looks great -- and so does your husband! :)

I bet it's fun to be able to change up the messages on your backsplash.
